SSEO - Match Type Filter Feature in SuperSync Email Add-In
Overview
SuperSync Email introduces a new Match Type Filter feature designed to give users more control over their search experience. Previously, searches executed in the add-in would query all available NetSuite record types allowed for the user’s SuperSync profile. With this enhancement, users can now choose exactly which of their permitted record types they wish to search against, significantly improving efficiency and performance.
This feature allows for faster searches by reducing the volume of records queried in NetSuite, while also helping users narrow results to the specific context relevant to their email.

How It Works
Available Record Types
The record types shown in the Match Type Filter are based only on the user’s permissions and configuration in their SuperSync Email profile.
No additional record types are displayed beyond those allowed for the user’s account.
Accessing the Filter
A new filter icon appears in the SuperSync Email add-in interface.
The icon is displayed to the right of the “Log Email” button.

Shows the default view with the filter icon visible but filter collapsed.
Using the Filter
Click the filter icon (dropdown) next to the “Log Email” button.
The filter panel expands, displaying a list of all permitted match types from the user’s profile.

Displays the expanded list of matching record types, grouped under:
Activity (e.g. Cases)
Entity (e.g. Contacts, Customers, Employees, Leads, Partners, Projects, Prospects, Vendors)
Select or deselect the checkboxes for record types you want to include in your search.
By default, all record types are selected (as before).
You may uncheck record types you do not wish to search.
Click Search to execute a search limited to the selected record types.

Example Use Case
Scenario:
A user only needs to log an email to a Customer or Contact record and wishes to exclude Leads or Cases from the search results.
Steps:
Open SuperSync Email add-in.
Click the filter icon.
Deselect all record types except Customers and Contacts.
Enter search terms and click Search.
View faster, more precise results limited to Customers and Contacts.
