NetAsset - Form Design Preferences

You may want to edit or customize a form for your environment, especially if you have additional requirements for journal entries and/or field usage. For example, if Department, Class, and/or Location are required fields, you can edit the template to make those fields mandatory on the asset record. 

This will most likely be applicable to the NetAsset Asset record, but these steps can be followed on any custom asset records included in NetAsset as well.

STEP BY STEP PROCESS

  • Navigate to the NetAsset Asset record by accessing Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Record Types

  • Select the NetAsset Asset record hyperlink

  • On the Forms subtab, select β€œEdit” to the left of the "Netgain Asset Form" and save it as your own preferred template. 

  • Be certain that the first time you save the form, you select "Save As" from the Save button dropdown to ensure that updates to the Netgain Asset Form do not wipe out customizations that you have made to your NetAsset Asset form
