Shared Transactions Self-Implementation Process

We are excited to help you allocate your transactions and use this tool to improve the overall effectiveness and efficiency of your NetSuite. This article has detailed instructions on implementing and using Shared Transactions. 

The setup for Shared Transactions is as follows:


Before Shared Transaction Installation:

1. Enable required features in NetSuite and install the Shared Transaction SuiteApp

After Shared Transaction Installation:


2. Update the Roles and Permissions for those who will be using Shared Transactions

3. If integrating with a third party software, additional setup will be required

4. Go through the general system setup of Shared Transactions

5. Intercompany Setup

6. Using custom segments with allocations

7. Creating allocation templates

There may be additional intercompany setup needed in NetSuite to perform intercompany allocations with Shared Transactions:



Once the setup is complete, it's time to test the system: 


8. Complete the User Acceptance Testing

9. If desired, complete the Data Allocation Validation Query setup


Once the testing is complete, you are ready to allocate with Shared Transactions!
