NetAsset - Maintenance Management: Case Templates

Overview

NetAsset enhances the native NetSuite Case record by adding fields that enable its use as a Case Template for maintenance management. A Case Template allows predefined information, including related activities and subtasks, to be copied automatically when a new case is created. This functionality ensures consistency by preconfiguring key fields such as assignment, priority, and other relevant details, reducing manual entry and standardizing case creation.

Prerequisites

  • Ensure Case Events are configured to trigger the creation of new maintenance cases. 


Step-by-Step Process

  • Navigate to Lists > Support > Cases > New to create a new NetSuite Case record.
  • Populate the fields on the Case record to define how the template should be configured for future use.
  • Under the Custom subtab, check the NetRental Case Rule Template checkbox. This will make the case selectable as a template when setting up NetAsset Case Rules: 
  • Make any updates to the case as desired like adding specific tasks or other notes related to the recurring case.
  • Click Save to create the record.

Next Steps

  • Set up Case Rules to specify which events should trigger the creation of cases for specific Assets or Rentals.
