NetClose - Reports Overview - Tasks

Currently, NetClose offers two reports for the tasks module: the Task Audit Report and the Task Due Date Variance Report. You can find these by navigating to NetClose > Reports.

The Task Audit Report

The purpose of the Task Audit report is to summarize all completed tasks, when they were due, when they were started, and when they were completed for a given period. It also indicates who the task was assigned to and who the reviewer was (if any were assigned). It also shows any notes left by the reviewer. This report will be most useful when you use due dates for your task. If you are currently not using due dates on your tasks, we recommend you set these up to organize a more efficient close.

To open this report, navigate to NetClose > Reports > Task Audit Report. In the top left corner of the report page, you can select the accounting period you want to view. Once an accounting period is selected, all completed tasks for that period will show.

The Task Due Date Variance Report

The Task Due Date Variance report aims to give an easy overview of the due date variance of your tasks. Meaning it will show you if your tasks are being completed on time. Again, for this report to be useful and relevant, if you are not currently using due dates for your tasks, we recommend you set these up.

To view this report, navigate to NetClose > Reports > Task Due Date Variance Workbook. By default, your report should show the following columns: Task Name, Task Due Date, Actual End Time, and Delay (Days). You can add more columns by dragging and dropping headers from the left side of the page into the report. Some additional columns you can add are the following: Accounting Period, Assignee, Duration Estimate, and Status. The 'Delay (Days)' column will indicate in red the tasks that were delayed and in green the tasks that were completed on time.

You can move the column headers to different places on the report by dragging and dropping them. You can also sort, filter, or rearrange the data by clicking on the three vertical dots next to a column header. To save the presentation/visual changes you made to your report, click the 'Save As' button in the top right corner of the page to save that unique report. You can also export the report to share with other team members.

Creating your own report within the Task Due Date Variance Workbook

The Task Due Date Variance Workbook also allows you to create unique reports. Start by clicking the '+ 'symbol (step 1), and you will then be prompted to choose a visualization type (step 2) for your report. From here, you can drag and drop headers into your report (step 3). From here, you can organize and rearrange your report as you would like.
