Approvals - Updating the Approvals Bundle

Overview

Netgain will continue to identify, develop, test, and deploy enhancements to the Approvals app through regular bundle updates. The approvals bundle is not a "managed" bundle which means that updates are not automatically pushed out to customer accounts. Generally version updates will add minor new features or address small issues but occasionally there is a required update to maintain compatibility with the latest NetSuite versions.

Checking for Updates

Administrators can check for and initiate available updates at any time by navigating to the Installed Bundle Listing at Customization > SuiteBundler > Search & Install Bundles > List:


The step-by-step guide below outlines the process for making updates to the bundle.


Step by Step Process

  • As an administrator, go to Customization > SuiteBundler > Search & Install Bundles > List.
  • Scroll down to "Netgain | Approvals," hover over the green icon in the "Action" column (on the far left), and click Update:
  • On the "Preview Bundle Update" page that follows, click the Update Bundle button:
  • After the bundle update is initiated, progress can be monitored by scrolling down to "Netgain | Approvals" and checking the "Status" column (refresh the page as needed). Please note that the installation typically takes 5-10 minutes to complete after the update is commenced.

Considerations

Depending on the update, once the process is complete, it may be necessary to adjust transaction forms to hide unnecessary new fields or reorganize them according to preferences. To do this, click the Customize link in the top right corner while editing a transaction record to modify the form layout as needed.
