NetLoan - Open and Run a Query Report
Overview
This article shows how to open an existing query report, apply filters to narrow the results, and export the results to CSV. Use it whenever you need to run one of the query reports available in your account.
Prerequisites
- A query report must already exist in your account. If one hasn't been set up, see Create a New Query Report.
- Standard NetLoan access with permission to view the Reports area.
Navigation
Top navigation: NetLoan > Reports > Query Reports opens the page listing the query reports available in your account.
Select the report you want to run from the list. The report runs as soon as you select it.
Step-by-Step
- Apply filters to narrow the results. Each filter takes effect as soon as you select a value:
- Use To Transaction Date as the "as of" date for the report.
- Use the Loan filter to scope the report to a single loan.
- Apply any other standard filters as needed: From Date, To Date, Loan Type, Subsidiary, Department, Class, Location, Borrower/Customer, and any custom filters configured on the report.
- If the report needs a filter that isn't available, you can add a custom filter (see Add a Custom Filter to a Query Report).
- For large result sets, results are returned in pages based on the report's pagination setting.
- Click Export to download the current report results as a CSV file.
Considerations
A filter only changes the results if the report's underlying query includes that field. If a filter appears but doesn't seem to affect the output, the report's query likely doesn't expose that field (see Add a Custom Filter to a Query Report).
High-volume reports return results in pages rather than all at once; this pagination is what allows large reports to run without timing out. The threshold is set by the Pagination Cutoff on the report record.
If a report is large enough, the export runs on a schedule instead of downloading immediately. The finished file is saved to the report record and can be accessed under the Files tab.
When exporting, remember that any list filtering applied in the exported file (for example, a column filter in Excel) is separate from the report's own filters and can change which rows you see.
