NetClose - Uploading Flux Scenario Templates
Overview
Flux Scenarios can be generated from template source scenarios. While these Flux Scenario templates can be created manually (see the Saved Flux Scenario Templates article for more details), they can also be uploaded in bulk using NetSuite’s native CSV import functionality.
This article provides a step-by-step guide to uploading Flux Scenario templates via CSV.
Step-by-Step Process
- Using the Flux Scenario Template tab within the NetClose Flux Upload Template, complete all required and applicable fields for the Flux Template. For field definitions and additional guidance, refer to the Saved Flux Scenario Templates article.
- Once the Flux Scenario Template tab has been completed, delete all informational and example rows, ensuring that only the column headers and the entered data remain:
- After preparing the Excel file, save it as a .csv file in a known location for easy access during the import process.
- Navigate to Setup > Import/Export > Import CSV Records to access the Import Assistant.
- With the Import Assistant open, set Import Type to Custom Records and select NetClose Flux Scenario from the Record Type drop-down menu.
- Under the CSV File(s) section, click Select and upload the saved .csv file:
- Select Next to proceed to Step 2: Import Options.
- Within the Import Options section, ensure that Add is selected and that the Run Server SuiteScript and Trigger Workflows option is checked:
- Select Next to continue to the next step of the Import Assistant.
- The next step is Field Mapping. NetSuite will attempt to automatically map fields it recognizes from the CSV file. Any unmapped or unrecognized fields must be manually matched between the CSV columns and the corresponding NetSuite fields.
- Ensure all required and desired fields are properly mapped, and then click Next.
- If all fields are mapped correctly and the field values in the CSV match those expected in NetSuite, select Save & Run or Run, as appropriate:
- To view the status of the upload, select Import Job Status from the confirmation banner, or navigate to Setup > Import/Export > View CSV Import Status:
- Once the import is complete, the status will update to Complete and display the number of records successfully imported:
- If the upload fails, review the import logs in the CSV Response to identify the specific errors. Make the necessary corrections to the CSV file, then repeat the steps outlined above to reattempt the import.
