Approvals - Setup Approval Process Condition

Overview 

This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough to creating an approval process condition using Netgain Approvals. A process condition is a validation mechanism that ensures certain fields are completed before submitting a process for approval. These fields may not be mandatory for saving the process, like a purchase order, but must be filled out for submission. It provides a simple way to enforce validation, allowing users to save incomplete records but requiring specific fields for approval. The condition can trigger a message if required fields arenโ€™t met, ensuring proper completion before submission. The formulas used can be similar to any saved search formula.

PrerequisitesHave purchased and installed the Netgain Approvals bundle and have NetSuite admin access.

Step by Step Process 

  1. In the top right corner, navigate to ... > Approvals > Configs and select Approval Processes.
  2. Select Edit.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Select Process Condition and enter a Process Condition.
  5. Select Save.
