Approvals - Auto-Submit for Approval with a Delay

Overview 

This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough to delay the auto-submit of records for approval using Netgain Approvals. This is useful in the rare cases when it may be necessary for compatibility with other scripts running on the account to force the record to be submitted with a delay of a few moments by a background script rather than immediately when the user saves the record.

Prerequisites: Have purchased and installed the Netgain Approvals bundle and have NetSuite admin access.

Step by Step Process 

1. In the top right corner, navigate to ... > Approvals > Configs and select Approval Processes. View full size
2. Select Edit. View full size
3. Select Settings. View full size
4. Check the Auto-Submit for Approval box. View full size
5. Check the Auto-Submit Asynchronously box. View full size
6. Select Save. View full size

NOTE - When a record is saved with a value set in the Approval Process field, after saving they will see a banner indicating the record is about to be automatically submitted. The banner will disappear once the system has submitted the record for approval.
