Punchout - Integration Prerequisites

There are several prerequisites that are required on the NetSuite account before Punchout tiles can be set up. These need to be completed on the Sandbox NetSuite account before we can start setting up Punchout connections in test mode and again on the Production account before the live connections can be set up. 




Setup the NetSuite subsidiaries list

Setup the NetSuite chart of accounts - specifically the correct expense accounts to be used with Punchout purchases

Create the master items to be used by Punchout (generally non-inventory items for Purchase) and link these to the correct expense accounts. Use the following instructions on how to enable these correctly for use with the Punchout bundle: Setting up Generic / Template Items

Company information including the company billing address properly filled out. Note that this may be on a company-wide basis or on a per-subsidiary basis so it is best to just make sure that both the company-wide and subsidiary addresses are complete. How To Setup Billing Addresses

Set up locations including the correct location address which will be used as the Ship-To address. How To Setup Location Addresses

NetSuite vendor records are created for each Punchout vendor.


Note: If there are plans for the Sandbox account to be refreshed during the Punchout implementation, please coordinate with the implementation team at Netgain before initiating the Sandbox refresh so our work is not lost.
