NetLoan - Set form design preferences

Overview

You can build a custom entry form for the NetLoan Loan record to fit your company's process. Common reasons include making Department, Class, or Location required, hiding fields your team doesn't use, renaming field labels, or rearranging fields and subtabs. You can do the same on any other custom record included in NetLoan.

Prerequisites

  • The Administrator role, or a role with permission to customize custom record entry forms.

Step-by-step process

  1. Go to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Record Types.
  2. Click the NetLoan Loan Record link.
  3. On the Forms subtab, click Edit next to the Netgain Default Loan Form.
  4. Enter a new name in the Name field, for example "Company Loan Form".
  5. Make your changes using the subtabs described under Customization options below.
  6. To make this form the default for all users, check Form is preferred. You can also set this later from the Forms subtab on the NetLoan Loan Record. To make it the preferred form for a specific role instead, open the Roles subtab on the form and check Preferred for that role.
  7. From the Save dropdown, click Save As. Do not click Save, which would overwrite the Netgain Default Loan Form.
