NetClose - My Work Dashboard

Overview

The My Work dashboard is the personal-queue view of the NetClose Dashboard. It is built to answer "what does each user need to do right now". Every card on My Work is scoped to items where the signed-in user is the preparer or the reviewer.

My Work complements the team-wide views: use the Close Progress dashboard to see overall period status, Close Trends for cross-period analysis, and My Work for an individual contributor's daily workflow.

Accessing the Dashboard

Navigate to NetClose > Dashboard > My Work. The dashboard opens to the current open accounting period across all modules the user has access to between Tasks, Reconciliations, and Flux.

Filters and Controls

Period defaults to the current period. The selector includes an "All Periods" option that broadens every card to show items across all open and recent periods - useful when items have rolled across multiple open periods.

Module toggle buttons in the Period Summary card let users include or exclude Tasks, Reconciliations, or Flux from the visible metrics.

My Items at a Glance

A bucketed list of all the user's open items grouped by urgency. Click any bucket to expand and see every item in it.

Needs My Review

A card listing items submitted to the user for review, or coming soon and awaiting submission.

Sent Back

A card listing items the user prepared that were sent back by the reviewer. User should address feedback and re-submit.

Close Pace

A compact stat card showing how the user's most recently ended period is pacing against their prior period at the same day of close. "Current period" on this card means the most recently ended accounting period, not the open period. If no period has ended yet, the card does not render.

Personal Trends

A stacked bar chart with an overlaid line, showing the user's last several periods of completion behavior.

  • On Time bars (green) - Items completed by the due date. Items completed without a due date set also count as on-time.
  • Late bars (orange) - Items completed after the due date. Stacked on top of On Time.
  • Overdue line (red) - Items from that period that are currently still overdue as of today (not complete and past their due date, using today's date as the overdue clock). A cleanly-closed historical period shows 0; an item still incomplete from a prior period continues to count against that period's bar each refresh.

Recently Completed

A scrollable list of the user's most recently completed items, sorted by completion date descending. Click into items to review directly.

My Work Calendar

A monthly (or weekly) calendar of every item assigned to the user with item dots color-coded by module. Defaults to the prior calendar month (which is typically the current close period). Click any item to open the source Task, Reconciliation, or Flux record in a new tab.

Permissions and Visibility

My Work is always scoped to the signed-in user. There is no separate dashboard custom record - the page uses the existing NetClose module custom records (NetClose Task, NetClose Reconciliation, and NetClose Flux Analysis) to determine which modules are visible.

Subsidiary restrictions follow NetSuite's standard subsidiary permissions - if a user is restricted to certain subsidiaries, only items in those subsidiaries appear on My Work.
