NetCash AI Capabilities with LLMs
Overview
NetCash works with Large Language Models (LLMs) to speed up your NetCash workflows and get smarter with every use. Through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), NetCash securely connects to models like Claude, enhancing automation, guidance, and overall functionality across your finance operations.
The video below walks through the following examples of how to leverage these tools with NetCash:
1. Analyze bank transactions to see the largest inflows and outflows for the period and create a visual chart.
2. Analyze credit card transactions for anomalies and potential policy variations.
3. Review recent matches between GL and bank transactions in NetCash and suggest NetCash GL Match Automation rules.
4. Improve NetCash matching capabilities by suggesting changes to NetCash Alias mapping and pushing those changes into NetCash.
5. Match GL & bank transactions in Claude and push those matches into NetCash.
Additional examples of how to use the MCP tool with NetCash:
1. Create custom Spend/Income Reports
2. Create Cash Flow Forecasting Reports
3. Unmatch transactions in NetCash
This video walks through how to set up the NetSuite's MCP tool and connect it with Claude.
STEP BY STEP:
1. Download NetSuite's MCP tool in SuiteApps
2. Create an MCP Role with all required permissions and add the role to the employee record.
Here are the required permissions for the MCP tool:
-MCP Server Connection
-Oauth 2.0 authorized applications management
-Log in using access token
Lastly, add any permissions for NetSuite & NetCash
3. Navigate to the LLM settings and add the custom connection. Use the link below to establish the connection to the LLM. Be sure to put the NetSuite specific ID in the highlighted section:

4. Once the connection has been made, Authenticate in NetSuite and select the MCP role
We recommend creating a dedicated Project in your LLM Application when using NetCash MCP tools. Projects provide isolated workspaces that maintain:
- Persistent context - Upload NetCash documentation, reconciliation templates, and configuration files that LLMs references across all chats
- Conversation continuity - Previous troubleshooting sessions, feature discussions, and reconciliation analyses remain accessible for reference
- Tool-specific instructions - Configure the LLM to understand your specific NetCash environment, matching rules, and reporting preferences
This isolation prevents interference from unrelated conversations and ensures the LLM maintains full context about your NetCash implementation when using MCP tools to query data, analyze reconciliations, or troubleshoot issues.
