NetAsset - Exporting Reports

Export Tips

  • Different pages have different locations for the export format choice, see below for picture guides on where to click to initiate an export.
  • Make sure any filters desired for the export are already selected and applied before processing the export.
  • High volume clients are often required to export reports - see the High Volume Client Reporting article for tips geared specifically to these users.
  • Exports are downloaded to your local machine so to access them click the popup window on your browser or go to your local machine's download folder.
  • All reports can be downloaded as Excel or CSV with some also available as PDF.
    • The CSV exports are the original formatting option and more suitable for automated downstream processes.
    • The Excel exports are best practice for exports because they have subtotals, color formatting, and additional export information included.

Saved Search Report Exports

Saved Searches are native NetSuite functionality, so you may already be familiar with how to export for these reports. Any report with filters at the top of the page is a saved search in NetSuite.

You export by clicking one of the icons in the left corner, CSV, Excel and PDF options are available.

Scripted Report Exports

Scripted reports are the legacy style reports in NetAsset. Filters are at the bottom of the screen and the presentation looks like the example below.

To export, you click the Export button.

You can control how the reports exports (Excel vs CSV) via the filter option. Open the filter bar at the bottom of the page, select the desired Export Format, and then click export. This will export the report immediately with the current filters applied.

Query Report Exports

Asset Register and Asset Register Roll Forward

These two reports are query based reports provided out of the box in NetAsset. They have filters at the bottom but look more like an excel when viewing in system.

The export option is in the top right corner and is a drop down. To export, click the drop down Export button and click the export format you want (Excel and CSV are supported). The download will process immediately. Make sure any filters you want applied to the export have already been selected in the bottom filter section and applied.

Report Generator

The report generator is where the out of the box and custom query type reports are found. Filters are at the bottom of the page and you can change which report you are looking at via the drop down for Report. This is where the out of the box reconciliation reports live.

To export, click the Export drop down button in the top left corner of the page, Excel, CSV, and PDF are supported. Once you click the export format option, the export will start immediately in browser.
