Every NetLease implementation moves through the same core milestones. For each one below you'll find what to prepare beforehand, what happens on the call, what comes next, and related articles from the Netgain knowledge base. We recommend reviewing this guide with your team before your Kickoff Call, and referring back to it throughout implementation.
Kickoff Call
Effort: Low — one call, plus time to complete the steps in the portal.
Preparation: Complete and submit tasks in your NetLease Kickoff Portal.
On the Call: Introductions, setting project objectives, providing a project overview, and establishing the project timeline.
Next Step: Provide the Netgain team admin access to NetSuite, bookmark the Netgain knowledge base, and review the statement of work.

Data Migration
Effort: High — the heaviest lift for your team, scaling with the size of your lease portfolio
Preparation: Install the NetLease bundle and bookmark the Netgain knowledge base.
On the Call: Your team is introduced to the templates used to migrate your data, given access to helpful resources that aid in completing them, and given time to ask questions.
Next Step: Provide completed NetLease templates to your implementation team, so they can assist in uploading the templates into NetLease.

Data Validation Call
Effort: Medium
Preparation: All leases need to have been uploaded into your NetSuite account. Review the leases using the instructions in the Data Validation article.
On the Call: Time to bring up any data discrepancies that you found in your data validation and receive guidance on how to resolve them.
Next Step: Verify the data is complete and correct and that it is ready to be moved to your production environment.

NetLease Training Call
Effort: Medium
Preparation: Prepare to share your screen during the training and ensure your role has permission to use NetLease functionality.
On the Call: Your Netgain implementation team trains your team on your new NetLease processes and the various features you will be using once you go live in the system.
Next Step: Practice these various processes in your sandbox account and start your user acceptance testing.

User Acceptance Call
Effort: Medium / High — scales with the number of test cases your team runs
Preparation: Complete your user acceptance testing using the Product Test Cases file as a guide.
On the Call: This call allows you to raise issues you found during testing to the Netgain team, so that they can be resolved.
Next Step: Finalize testing and provide the "green light" for go-live.

Transition from Sandbox to Production
Effort: Low — mostly handled by the Netgain team
Preparation: Delete all test leases. Verify data validation is complete.
On the Call: The Netgain team transitions your leases from your sandbox to your production environment in preparation for going live.
Next Step: You will need to smoke test the transferred leases to ensure no errors have crept in during the transition.

Go-Live Call
Effort: Medium
Preparation: Review leases in production and commence them, and book manual entries to clear out existing lease balances.
On the Call: Run the go-live entries that will establish lease balances on your books via NetLease. The Netgain team can help you do this on a dedicated call.
Next Step: Ensure your go-live account has cleared out fully and that no balances prior to NetLease are sitting on your balance sheet.

Effort: Low — ongoing, light touch
Preparation: You will be able to continue to ask your dedicated implementor questions through your first full monthly close following the date you go live in NetLease.
On the Call: Consult the Netgain knowledge base as you encounter questions or issues using the product.
