NetAsset - Asset Additions Waterfall Report
Purpose
The Asset Additions Waterfall Report is a Netgain scripted report that highlights the additions posted over time. This is expected to be used as a past-looking report.
How To
Navigation:
NetAsset > Reports (All or Subledger Reports) > Asset Additions Waterfall Report > Run
Filtering:
The report search can be narrowed down by adjusting the filters for subsidiary, alternate schedule, currency, consolidated exchange rate, report level, department, class, location, asset, accounting period, or date. Once desired filters are set, click preview to view the report.
Select a date range of 1 year to see asset additions for the year
Results
Upon running the schedule the user will see a summarized detail of assets and associated future depreciation expense amounts by asset type/account # for the selected period. The schedule can drill-down to individual asset and the underlying future expense detail. Users use this as a forward-looking report. Select the Export button to download report into Excel.
Troubleshooting
Is the report missing assets?
1. If desired assets do not appear in the report, check the selected filters to ensure assets are not being restricted from view.
2. Verify asset status has been updated from pending to capitalized or further.
